H. Shivanna, Dean (Agri) assumed the charge of Vice-Chancellor, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangaiuru on 24 Jan 2015. He was bom in Bugudanahalli village of Tumkur District on 15 Feb 1953, He completed B.Sc. (Hort) from UAS, Bangaiuru in 1977; M.Sc. (Agri) in Ganefics and Plant Breeding from UAS, Dharwad in 1989 and Ph.D.in Life Sciences (Biotechnology) from Kuvempu University, Shivamogga in 2002. He started his career as Research Assistant in Sorghum Scheme at MRS, Dharwad during toe year 1977, promoted as Assistant Sorghum Breeder during the year 1983 and served as Plant Scientist from 1992. He has worked as Professor and Head, Dept, of Genetics and Plant Breeding, College of Agriculture, Shivamogga and Professor and Head, Dept of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, GKVK from 2004 and Chief Scientific Officer (Plant Pathology) at GKVK, Dr Shivanna served as Dean (PGS), Director of Research and Dean (Agri) from 2008, Totally, he has 38 years of vast Experience in Agricultural Education and Research. He has guided three Ph.D. students His main areas of research were Breeding of improved sorghum varieties and developed six sorghum varieties and three sorghum hybrids; and worked on Bio feel research. He is instrumental in mobilizing Rs. 37.09 crores for Bio feel Research and Rs 4.00 crores for Improving education and also to Improve research farms in toe University. Besides, he has played pivotal rote in institution building while holding various administrative posts.

He became Associate Professor,Professor and Head of Veterinary Parasitology in PAU Ludhiana and his sincerity, devotion and commitment to work raised him to the position of Registrar, GADVASU where he served the University (2010-2015). About a year ago, after superannuation, he worked as Director (R & D) in Punjab Technical University (PTU) affiliated college. Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) nominee for more than four years.
During his academic career, he has been honoured with awards and recognitions viz;Fellow of Indian Association for Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology, Indian Association for Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (IAAVP) (2007); Scientist Award from Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology, (ISVIB) (2010 & 2013) and Fellow of National Academy of Dairy Sciences, (NADSI) (2014).
He has to his credit more than 200 publications and 3 books. He has also been associated with Societies and Councils in different scientific initiatives and held the position of Vice President of Indian Association for Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (IAAVP). He had been the member, Academic Council, Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSK HPKVV), Palampur (HP); Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu University, Raipur and Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar and on the editorial board of Journal of Parasitic diseases (Springer India), Journal of laboratory physicians (AIIMS, New Delhi), Journal of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore and Journal of Animal Research.

Hari C Sharma is a Principal Scientist-Entomology at the International Crops Research Institute for the semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Hyderabad, India. His contributions are in the areas of insect bio-ecology and use of host plant resistance and biotechnological approaches for IPM. He has authored over 250 research papers, 150 book chapters/conference papers, and five books. A Fellow of six Academic Societies, He has been conferred with several awards including Excellence in Science Award of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), Plant Protection Award of Distinction by International Association of Plant protection Sciences (IAPPS), and Hari Om Trust Award by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). He is a Governing Board Member -IAPPS, and President - International Congress of Entomology.

S. Felix is a Dean in Fisheries College and Research Institute Tamil Nadu Fisheries University. Elected as the Director of World Aquaculture Society (Asia pacific Chapter) for a period of two years June 2015 to May 2017. Presently responsible for establishing the Second Fisheries College under the Tamil Nadu Fisheries University at Ponneri, Chennai. Working relentlessly for the past 15 years to introduce innovative aquaculture systems in India for Fresh water, Brackish water and Marine candidate species. Authored 10 Books, Published over 150 Research Papers & Reports and Patent registered for 6 technologies. Signed a number of MOUs with Aquaculture and Fisheries firms, entrepreneurs and farmers.

ElSayed earned his PhD in Molecular plant Biology in 2010 from the University of Bayreuth, Germany; he returned to the University of Bayreuth, Germany in 2013 for Postdoctoral work (DAAD fellowship). In 2014 he worked at Everglades Research and Education Center, University of Florida, USA as a visiting scientist. In 2015 he granted a Postdoctoral fellowship to Bielefeld University, Germany. He has published more than 24 papers in reputed Journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of reputed journals. In addition, He is serving as a reviewer for several peer review Journals. He is an Associate Professor at Zagazig University, Egypt.

Panigrahi is presently Professor & Head, Department of Soil & Water Conservation Engineering (SWCE) in College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology (CAET), OUAT, Bhubaneswar. He served as Assistant Professor in the Department of SWCE, CAET, OUAT from 1988 to 1994 and Senior Scientist in Water Management Project of OUAT from 1994-2002. He was promoted to Chief Scientist in Water Management Project and then Associate Director of Research. Panigrahi has published 222 technical papers including International and National Journals. He has written several bulletins and practical manuals. He has also published 05 books which have been published by New India Publishing Agency, New Delhi and LAP LAMBERT International Publishers, Germany. Besides he has edited 03 books under the aegis of Apple Academic Press, USA. He is the recipient of 20 Gold medals and awards including (i) Jawaharlal Nehru Award in the field of Natural Resources Management by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, (ii) Samanta Chandra Sekhar Award for best scientist in the state of Odisha (iii) Gobinda Gupta Award as outstanding Engineer of the state of Odisha given by Institution of Engineers (India) and (iv) Commendation Medal by Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers, New Delhi. He received Japanese Master Fellowship for pursuing M. Engineering study at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He is the Editor of Indian Journal of Soil Conservation and Journal of Agricultural Engineering Today and editorial board members of several international and national journals.

Savithri Bhat is head of the department of biotechnology at BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. She has been Associate Professor in the Dept. of Biotech, BMS college of Engineering, Bangalore, India since Sept 2011. (Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Biotech, BMS college of Engineering, Bangalore, July 2008 to Aug 2011 & Lecturer in the Dept. of Biotech, BMS college of Engineering, Bangalore, July 2003 to June 2008). Post Doctoral Fellow and Research Scientist at National Institutes of Health , Maryland, USA with NIH Post Doctoral fellowship funded by US Govt. (2009- 2010). From School of Biotechnology, DAVV, Indore, India under the guidance of Dr. Sushil Kumar, Ex-Director, Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow, India and Prof. Anil Kumar, Head of Biotech. Department, DAVV, Indore, India. Carried out independent research in CSIR labs on in vitro regeneration and genetic transformation in several species of mint.She is member of professional bodies as IWSA, PSI and IANS. Is investigator of three government funded and two industry on-going projects. She has several collaborative projects with ISRO, VIT, IAHVB and has won Best practice researcher award ,2016 .She has more than 50 publications; one being in Cell and one book to her credit.

Mr. Sadashiv Nadukeri is presently serving as Assistant Professor at Dept of Plantation, Spices, Medicinal and Aromatic Crops College of Horticulture, Mudigere He has also served as Assistant Horticulture Officer at State Department of Horticulture, Karnataka. He also won best speaker award at International conference on Agriculture held at Hyderabad in December 2016. Mr. Nadukeri has activey taken part in various conference like National symposium on cashew held at Hotel Royal Orchid, B.H Road, Shimoga. National conference on "Emerging trends in medicinal plants and herbal drugs",National conference on Spices held at UAHS, Shimoga. Mr. Sadashiv has 9 paper published around 9 articles in international and international scientific journals with many abstract published in various conference, symposia and meetings. More than Thirty trainings attended and delivered lecture as resource person for the trainings to the farmers. He joined PhD at UHS, Bagalkot, College of Horticulture, UHS, Campus Bengaluru during the year 2015- 2016.

KV Raju is Theme Leader, Policy and Impact, Research Program-Asia in the International Crop Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics, based in Hyderabad, India. He was the Economic Advisor to Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka for five years. Earlier, he was Professor and Head of the Centre for Ecological Economics and Natural Resources in the Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore.

M.Kalyana Chakravarthi is currently working as Associate Professor & Head at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati. He received his Doctoral degree or Ph.D on Validation of portable near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) for the evaluation of fodders in the development of ruminant production systemsfrom Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati. Dr M.Kalyana Chakravarthi completed his Masters in Livestock Production Management from the University of ANGRAU, Hyderabad. He then worked at KVK, Yalamanchili as SMS, served as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in DAH and Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati.

Chattopadhyay (b.1964) did his M. Sc. (Ag.) in Horticulture from CSAU &T, Kanpur, UP and Ph. D. (Ag.) in Horticulture from BCKV, WB and currently working as Professor in BCKV, WB, India. He has an experience of 20 years of teaching, research and extension. He has authored more than 75 publications in various journals, 37 popular articles, 5 practical manual, 7 book chapter and presented 37 papers in various seminar/symposium/conference in abroad ( Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Srilanka) and India . He is life member of 5 academic societies. His publications reflect his research interests in various spices, plantation, medicinal and aromatic crops. He is also Treasurer, Crop and Weed Science Society, BCKV and awarded CWSS Fellow 2016
